Things to Consider When Preparing a Cost Estimate

(1) While preparing the cost estimate for any procurement, the public body shall consider the following:- (a) Whether all the work related to procurement can be done under one procurement contract or whether a separate procurement contract should be entered into after the work, (b) whether the procurement contract should be renewed or not, (c) If there is any other option of purchase, such option, (d) Maximum amount and time that may be required to complete the work according to the purchase agreement, and (e) Other matters determined by the Public Procurement Monitoring Office that should be considered when the public body prepares the cost estimate. .
(2) When the public body prepares the cost estimate, make a separate item of "Mobilization and demobilization expenses including bid bond or performance bond, insurance, facilities to be given to consultants, quality testing, occupational health and safety, edge wilt map, commission cost of performance bond, etc. Should be included in the cost estimate.
